About Us

A California girl adjusting to life in Utah. My husband and I moved out here as a leap of faith - knowing that the best and most reasonably priced education makes it's home here. It was good for us to really get out on our own, since we were Sealed (married for eternity) in April 2011, it was the first time we'd ever moved so far. My husband is studying Computer Science at Utah Valley University, and I'm chipping away at an associates in Geology at Salt Lake Community College. We just had our first baby in March of 2014, so life's been a crazy fun adjustment.
Last summer, the first friends we made in Utah took us rock-climbing outside. - and we haven't stopped since! We love being in the outdoors and challenging ourselves, while spending time with friends and family.
We enjoy making our religion a daily part of our lives, and being involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (love that name, huh?), we're so blessed to have the gospel, scriptures and friends to guide us and uplift us. We enjoy attending the Temple when we can (since having Echo makes it a bit more difficult), and love our callings in our ward. As Visiting Teaching District Supervisor I've learned to love and appreciate the women around me, and have enjoyed being able to support them whenever they need it. My husband enjoys his calling as Assistant Ward Clerk where he gets to organize people for service projects assigned to our ward, and to help the Clerk whenever needed.
I hope to share our experiences in growing up together, starting a family, doing adult stuff, and enjoying nature, and how we learn and laugh along the way. Besides, life isn't fun unless you can laugh at yourself!
